HYBRID — THE ALBUM

HYBRID is the debut album from Short Circuit — nine original songs blending reflective storytelling, modern production, and classic rock influences. From the nostalgic journey of “The Hands of Time” to the introspective “The Chapters I’ve Known,” HYBRID explores memory, change, hope, and the human experience.

HYBRID was created as an album — nine songs meant to be discovered, experienced, and revisited. The physical CD brings back something increasingly rare: putting on a record, listening from beginning to end, and having something tangible to hold and keep.

Remember what it felt like to discover a band you had never heard before?

There was something exciting about hearing a song for the first time, wanting to hear another, and eventually discovering an entire album. Short Circuit invites you to experience that feeling again.

HYBRID isn’t about chasing what’s popular today. It’s about songs, musicianship, storytelling, and the experience of discovering music on your own terms.

You may find one song that immediately grabs you. You may discover another after the third or fourth listen. That’s part of what listening to an album has always been about.

THE RECORDING

All nine songs on HYBRID were written, composed, and produced by Al Padilla / Short Circuit, with performances by Al Padilla and additional musicians.

Recorded and mixed at Little Big Sound Studios in Lakeland, Florida, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London.

AI technology was used only as a production and polishing tool during the recording process. The songs themselves were not AI-generated.
