My name is Al Padilla, and Short Circuit is the music project I’ve spent a lifetime building.
I started Short Circuit in the early 1980s on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, with a group of friends who shared a passion for writing and performing original music.
Although life eventually took us in different directions, I never stopped writing. Today, I continue Short Circuit as an independent artist, blending classic rock influences with modern production while staying true to the spirit of songwriting.
My debut album, HYBRID, reflects decades of songwriting, persistence, and creativity. Every song was written to tell a story rather than follow trends.
